Jewish High Holidays
There are two Interfaith Community family services: Rosh Hashanah, led by Rabbi Paris and a very brief Neilah service, which concludes the holiday and is followed by a full “Break Fast.”  In addition to our own services we’re invited to attend Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services at the Port Jewish Center.

Christmas/Hanukkah Service and Celebration
Sunday, December 14th, 2008, 4pm
The Brookville Church, 2 Brookville Rd, Brookville, NY 11545

The Christmas service, led by Reverend Ramirez, conveys the essential and spiritual meaning of Advent and Christmas.  The Children perform a Nativity Play and we sing “Silent Night” by candle light.  The service is followed by a brief Hanukkah celebration and a festive gathering (with latkes, dreidels, carols, and holiday treats).

Gather with several families for a traditional Shabbat dinner in a member’s home.

Four Chaplains Sunday

A service which conveys the true interfaith story of The Four Chaplains (a Roman Catholic Priest, a Jewish rabbi, a Methodist reverend, and a Reformed Church in America Reverend.)

Passover Seder

Experience a model Seder where families will learn about and celebrate the meaning and the rituals of this ancient tradition.

Easter / Holy Week Service
Sunday, April 5th, 2009, 4pm

Celebrate Easter through a family service designed to share the meaning of the season and its traditions, followed by an Easter egg hunt and a bunny hop race.
