Sukkot Celebration

Bring the whole family to our festive celebration of Sukkot, which will include building a sukkah. As we build, we will learn about and celebrate the meaning of this tradition. Join other interfaith families in the celebration and learn about our Denver group.

Hannukkah Shabbat
date, time and location TBD; all ages welcome

Bring the whole family to our pre-Hannukkah Shabbat. We will say the blessings and light the candles, learning more about why we do the things we do. With one week until the start of Hannukkah, we will also discuss this upcoming holiday, including telling stories and playing dreidel.

Christmas Event

The Christmas service is designed and led by members of our Denver community to convey the essential and spiritual meaning of Advent and Christmas. It involves the whole family. The main service is followed by a festive gathering, with carols and holiday treats.

Shabbat Dinner

Bring the whole family to our Shabbat dinner. We will say the blessings and light the candles, learning more about why we do the things we do. The dinner will be in Potluck format, so each family can share their own special Shabbat foods.

Easter/Holy Week Service

We will learn about Easter with a service designed and led by Reverend Nina Churchman (Epicopal Diocese of Colorado) in partnership with members of our Denver community. Based on the Easter Vigil mass, it is rich in symbolism. It involves the whole family and is particularly interactive for both younger and older children. The main service is followed by a festive gathering, with crafts, holiday treats, and a jelly bean hunt.

Passover Seder
in April

Children and familes participate in a model seder to learn about and celebrate the meaning and the rituals of this ancient tradition: dipping greens in salt water, recalling the ten plagues, inviting Elijah's return, and sharing matzah, the "bread of affliction." Following the commandment "You shall tell it to your children!" we hear the founding story of Judaism - the story of the birth of a people and an evolved understanding of God. We look forward to a lively and enjoyable gathering of the Community for this event.

End-of-Year Gathering
in June

To mark the end of our year, the Community gathers at Crestmoor Park for a picnic celebration.
