Our Danbury chapter is still in its early stages and does not yet offer formal children's classes, but does have family-based educational programming, using the carefully developed Interfaith Community curriculum. Led by the chapter chairs, parents also attend the sessions, both to participate in what their children are learning - and to socialize with other parents, fostering our chapter's sense of community.

The Interfaith Community has developed a comprehensive curriculum to educate children in grades K-8 about both their traditions. Team-taught by Jewish and Christian educators, our classes aim to nurture continuity with each faith, but not to blur their differences or to indoctrinate. Instead, we hope to provide children with basic literacy in each, to foster respect for religion and the meaning it can bring to life, to inspire joy and delight in their religious heritages and practices, and to lay a foundation for their own religious journeys.

Tuition is an additional $100 for one child, $75 for additional children - and participants must first be members of the chapter before registering for childrens classes.

Parents are encouraged to volunteer to help teach class, using the IFC curriculum for the year. Families that commit to volunteer teaching, will receive a $25 tuition discount.
